Another Day, Another Dollar

So, I was standing out on my balcony today and the air was a little crisp. There was a certain nip in the air and the sky was devoid of all clouds. I could see the mountains(as best as I can)with snow capped tops standing majestically in the distance.

I am currently looking for an internship for the year. I think this time around I will be able to say more about it through the year and hopefully will have some more interesting anecdotes along the way. My last one in chicago was pretty much run in a way where they dont want you saying anything, writing anything, or doing anything that will discuss some of the issues. I can understand that, but as a person who is attempting to get back into blog writing that pretty much is an inconvience.

So classes are going allright. Denver has a quarter system made up of 10 week quarters. I am in essence heading into week 4 of 10 so almost halfway through. The quarter actually ends right before Thanksgiving and does not start up again till January 2. Now, does this mean I will be on vacation from Thanksgiving till January 2? No. Not really. See I will likely start seeing patients at the campus cdounseling center as well as doing my internship. SO I am sure I will still have plenty of stuff to do. So, while I wont be in class, I will still be hard at work.

But then again, I am ok with that. Last yr I went home for 10 days for the Christmas holidays and spent 8 of them in pain(had 4 wisdom teeth pulled). I also have not gone home for Thanksgiving for 7 years(this will be year 7) and I am ok with that. I am gonna try to cook up some turducken if I can find one up here. Not sure I will but will try. I will leave you with an image I ripped off the net. Enjoy!

Launching into Week 2

So now I am in week 2 of the quarter, yes I said quarter. This univerity works on a quarter system so classes will officially end near Thanksgiving. Then from Thanksgiving to New Years, I will be free of class until the winter quarter starts on the 2nd or so of January. It is a schedule I am still adjusting to.

Becuase of that of course, classes are only 10 weeks long. This makes each class that much more important and that much more packed with information, homework, etc. I have tried to explore Denver, but I have not really done as much as I would have liked. I did take nice drive towards the mountains on Sunday. I was actually looking for a sports bar to watch my beloved Texans(they lost big in case you are interested) but in doing so had the oppertunity to drive towards the Rockies. I did not have my camera with me(and sadly it wouldnt have been able to capture the beauty anyway) but I found a picture online that is reminesicnt of what I saw. Enjoy...

Of course, there is not any snow there yet, and I was not THAT close, but yall get the idea. AT least I hope you do...

Yeah, I know

I have wanted to come back to this blog for awhile, but life events started getting in the way. At one point I even considered just shutting down, seeing as I have not posted in almost 3 months. I have thought, maybe this blog thing is not really for me. Perhaps I should have just let the blog sit unupdated.

Well you know what, I am gonna give it another try. I am going to try to do more frequent(see weekly) and really try to get back into this thing. I doubt anyone even looks here anymore, but it will be a nice place for me to vent--and if anyone happens to read it too, that would be nice.
